Refractory castable is currently the most widely produced and used unshaped refractory material. Mainly used to construct various heating furnace linings and other integral structures. Certain high-quality varieties can also be used in smelting furnaces. For example, aluminate cement refractory castables can be widely used in various heating furnaces and other thermal equipment without slag and acid and alkali corrosion. In the parts that are corroded by molten iron, molten steel and molten slag and have high working temperature, such as tapping trough, ladle, blast furnace body, tapping trough, etc., a combination of low calcium and pure high alumina cement can be used. Refractory castable made of high-quality granular and powdery materials with high alumina content and good sintering.

These neutral raw materials have significant resistance to magnesia carbon bricks against slag, and are most suitable for use as a barrier between alkaline refractories and acid refractories.


Mainly magnesite (magnesite), dolomite, lime, olivine, serpentine, high alumina raw materials (sometimes neutral), these raw materials have strong resistance to alkaline slag and are mostly used for masonry Build an alkaline furnace, but it is particularly easy to chemically react with acidic slag to become salts.

Semi-dry gunning is a method in which refractory aggregates, binders, additives, etc. are mixed with water through the water ring holes on the magnesia-carbon bricking end of the spray gun and sprayed onto the gunning surface by compressed air. The amount of water can be adjusted at any time according to the spraying situation, and generally fluctuates between 10-20%, which is much lower than that of wet spraying. Therefore, the gunning layer has a large volume density, less shrinkage, and a thicker gunning layer can be obtained. It has better durability, but the rebound amount is slightly higher than that of the wet method. This gunning method is more common.
